The International HIV/AIDS Alliance and AIDSPortal have formed a partnership to develop PortalSIDA, a Spanish language knowledge sharing and networking website for the HIV community in Latin America. PortalSIDA will be launched at the International AIDS Conference in Mexico in August 2008.

From 28 April. This second series of discussions on the criminalisation of HIV transmission will be based on four scenarios, each highlighting certain key questions with respect to human rights and responsibilities: Whose right counts? Whose responsibility is it to prevent the transmission of HIV? Do the rights and responsibilities of individuals change depending on circumstances?

UN symbolUNGASS 2008 

The Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS signed by Member States at the first UN Special Session on HIV/AIDS (UNGASS) in 2001 is to be reviwed at UNGASS 2008, 10 and 11 June. Member States will report back on progress towards Universal Access and other targets. AIDSPortal contains many country reports, important links and other documentation on UNGASS.
