How do organisations benefit from AIDSPortal membership?
Membership can benefit all organisations, whether they operate at the international or grass-roots level. Benefits include:
- Information sharing: Members can share information directly with the AIDSPortal community. These can be documents, links, events or notes and grey literature is encouraged. Simple online forms make sharing information as easy as sending an email attachment. Once on the site, documents are tagged with the relevant organisation, creating a personal online library of publications that is shared with the international community.
- Easy access to information: Members can subscribe to pages they are interested in (such as ‘Universal Access to Treatment’ or ‘Livelihoods and AIDS’) and receive email updates of the latest resources on these topics.
- An online profile: Every member of AIDSPortal has an organisational profile page on the site and can set up personal profile pages for staff members. These pages are included in a global contact directory that members can use to network across all types of organizations. Only members can access contact information.
- Networking with other members: All AIDSPortal members can join, or lead, focused discussions on current policy and thematic subjects. Members can also create and manage a closed page on the site and use it to consult with an invited group of members.
