AIDSPortal.org has brought the power of social networking to the largest online community in the HIV & AIDS sector. When you join AIDSPortal, you become part of a community of people from around the world committed to the AIDS response. You can connect and share information with individuals, groups, organisations and experts around the world. All it takes to join is an email address. You can join here.

Key features
Before engaging with AIDSPortal's features you need to join and sign-in using your username and password.
Contribute information. Share your work.
Contribute your publications, news, events, jobs and grants by using the Contribute toolkit on the home page. Click on the relevant links and fill out the simple online form to contribute information about your work or information that you are interested in. All publications on the AIDSPortal website are published under a creative commons agreement.
Search for the latest HIV publications, news, events, jobs and grants
Search for the latest HIV publications, news, events, jobs and grants (funding opportunities) on the AIDSPortal website using the search bar at the top of the site or the navigation menu on the left.
Highlight your work in your individual profile
When you join AIDSPortal, we automatically set up a profile for you. You can:
- Edit your profile, enter your contact details and a description of what you do
- Add a photo of yourself
- Locate yourself on our map
- Set up a library of resources that you are interested in and that you have contributed to the AIDSPortal community
- Post messages on other users profile 'walls'
- Connect with other people who have profiles on AIDSPortal
All profiles are included in our People Directory.
Promote your organisation's work, signal its effectiveness
Once you've joined AIDSPortal you can add your organisation to our Organisation Directory. It provides a mini web-sites for large and small organisations. When you create a profile for your organisation, you can:
- Share key documents and resources with the AIDSPortal community
- Edit your organisation profile, enter your contact details and a description of what you do
- Add your organisational logo or photo of your team
- Locate your organisation on our map
- Post updates on your wall of your organisation’s latest activities and actions
All organisations are featured in the Organisation Directory.
Start an AIDSPortal Group
Set up a Group on AIDSPortal around a particular topic, theme, programmatic or policy issue. AIDSPortal Groups provide a place to consult with, discuss and share ideas and opinions. You can share resources and connect with others around a particular issue.
AIDSPortal Group features include:
- Privacy setting: You decide whether access to your group or information shared in your group is private (only people who join the group can see it) or public (everyone can see it).
- Add a logo or photo to your group’s profile
- A wall for communicating updates, ideas and consulting group members
All AIDSPortal Groups are featured in the Groups Directory.
Email alerts new AIDSPortal resources
Coming soon. Set-up and receive an email and/or SMS alert of any new information added to the AIDSPortal website. For example, sign-up to receive a regular email or SMS udpate on the latest jobs or grant added to the AIDSPortal website.
Participate in an eForum
You can subscribe to email discussion forums (eForums) and participate in dialogue, consultations and debate around a variety of HIV related topics. If you are interested in starting a new eForum please contact us.
